Ernie Grand Bend Speedway has it's own Web page you will see they have lots of divisions plus 7/8 years up to 40 year old Jesse Kennedy driving a min truck. Visit the track some time you will not be disappointed and there is turn over of racing machines. Many people are amazed at the ability of these kids I have been around racing for years can tell you these kids are light years ahead of what the old days had.

Check out these cars. Similar to a Legends car, 2/3 scale Baby Grand stockcar bodies with sealed Yamaha 1300 cc motorcycle engines. Apparently they are big in Calgary. Lots of used cars for sale on their site to.

There's a series like that here in Ontario, the Ontario pro challenge series, 3/4 scale cars, not really entry level.

I used to race go karts with the club that now runs at Flamboro, WRKC, it is a great starting point.

We do have the Jcar at grand bend, and don't forget Wonderland. I think what people are looking for is an entry level division, that has the competion level as otherplaces, that is cheaper then the Karts and the Jcar, and to tell you the truth, you're not going to find it. If this is what YOU want to do, save up for it, or if you have the backing, thats great, but the one thing that everyone involved in racing knows and will tell you repeatedly (like I was told almost every night) RACING IS NOT CHEAP

The Jcar series does have people who are into there 30's and 40's

I was really thinking of something similar to the Baby Grands but more entry level. I thought J car was just for the youngsters. An Adult J car class with a little more zoom would be cool ;D ;D ;D ;D. You could run it on Wednesday night with the kids. Or maybe a 4 cylinder truck class. S-10s, Rangers, STOCK parts only with a $1000 claiming rule. Not just the motor the whole truck. Take your seat and belts out and sign it over. Just throwing some ideas out there. Sorry, didn't intend to highjack the thread. The show up and race thing would be great for people like myself that would love to race but don't have a shop to work out of.

I'm all for an entry level class at Delaware, I really don't feel the Chaos cars ARE one, not in the traditional sense anyway.  But are we talking about racing on the 1/2 mile?  That might be a bit much for "mini" cars like that... and the logistics of clearing out the pits so they can race on the infield on a Friday night I don't think is feasible either....  And if THAT'S the case, they race another day and.... That basically just means the Jcars again anyway...

So if you mean a pure stock 4 cylinder truck class (or something like that), are you suggesting they run it on the infield, or the full track?  If it's the full track, you're getting into safety equipment that might not be "affordable" anymore... Which is the big argument, I think.
