Playing devils advocate here.  Now lets say you replace the chaos cars with the carts (and I sure most kids love the karts as much as chaos cars), where on the track do you run them during a 'special' show like the 5th was going to be???  I spose you could put a couple chicanes on the front and back stretch to slow them down.....

I like the idea.  They may get casual fans to try racing the carts, they're just as entry level if not more so than the chaos cars and I would guess that some 'deal' could be made with existing 'chaos' drivers to get into the carts.  In a different variation, the carts are more easily obtained in ready to race condition, smaller trailer, smaller hauler, smaller......

A couple of tire walls that can be dragged on/off the track in short order.  I wonder if this idea was floated before the chaos class was born.....

The reason I started this thread was because over at one of the Chaos threads the debate about "entry level racing series" was brought up as opposed to an "entertainment" or "filler". I would envision, if this was done at Delaware that it would run separate from the regular series. Either in conjunction with the Junior series or if popular on it's own on Saturdays or another week night. The setup would be break even or slight profit without gate receipts. Gate receipts would be gravy. I changed the title of this topic slightly to reflect a need that I see in the London area. Even if it wasn't an arrive and ride deal something like the Junior racing series for Adults would be attractive to many I believe. Could very well be wrong. A real racing series where you could get started for a couple grand and not require trailers, crews etc would be great. I would have thought that there would be a lot of interest in the arrive and ride deal in this area but I guess I'm wrong.

You know, something like the Jcars for adults might be just what the doctor ordered. It'd create another gateway for sure, but wouldn't be able to replace the intangibles that the Chaos guys bring to the table. (Not that I'm trying to hijack the thread)...but there may be room for both.

Problem is, whos going to take care of all those cars and all the damages they might incur? Thats a number of man-hours...especially trying to keep them all even. The Jrs are pretty much staffed on a volunteer basis, so I don't know how you'd swing something like that.

neat idea, but I fear the execution would be much harder than you'd imagine at forst glance. heck, just figuring out where to store would be a trick itself.

Shadow.... Jcar is established at Grand Bend and always looking for new competitors at all ages and levels..Deleware also has a program Wed nights. For years carts had a go of it way back to Fanshawe carts including East Part. None ever made it. Why should it now?
Why compete against these two operations both are creating great prospects for the higher levels?  Personally I think Delaware has to
move it's nightly program in a speedier fashion and get rid of the short features. This could stretch the night on big car count numbers any given night for any division from back of the pack. Cut down on smack ups too. Also last weeks top 5 any division pursuit filler for a year end bonus for a  new sponsor a suggestion .
This could be a call of the night if needed. Is there any real reason Delaware can not have a 7PM Race Start?

Fanshawe had rental carts that were pretty stout but no ameture racing series such as an arrive and ride deal that I can remember. I went there all the time to watch the series races. There were some pretty fast carts and good drivers there. Besides their days were always numbered as the gravel pit kept eating away at the site. East Park had a cart racing series??? News to me. Besides if their carts in years past were anything like they are now then they would have sucked then like they suck now. The best rental carts I have been on have been in the States. Wasaga Beach carts are pretty good and it is a fun track but one lap runs suck. That is the problem with most cart tracks around Ontario. One lap runs :-

As far as Grand Bend having JCARS for all ages, again news to me. Anything I have read about the JCARS has limited the age to 18. I would be interested is any links you could provide about that and costs involved. Thanx
