Well I hope they don't axe the Delaware mod class. Hopefilly they will try to build them up again.

Spartan speedway here in Lansing is having a meeting at the track Sunday as they are working to put wingless sprints on the asphalt 1/4 mile for 2010. Possiblly weekly if the interest is there. Maybe flip flop Sprints with Superlates every other week.
I heard the Fedawas, John Boy Hotchkiss, and the Heeney's have committed to the effort. And rumors are other AVSS teams are interested as well.

Well, i know a Super Sprint was sold to Canada... So we may not see McCullough around much longer...

better take another guess at who bought that super sprint, dave was over at my place last weekend and that wasn't in the plans  😉

Well then, I have no idea what he is personally doing, it could have been a Super Modified too I always get the two mixed up...
either way one of the two was sold to Canada and him always driving in the Delaware show i figured might be him

I had heard rumors that TJ Woolsey was possibly moving to supermods at Oswego. Maybe thats the car...

I'd definitely be able to get behind a sprint car division. That'd be pretty cool actually. Maybe do some allying with one of the dirt tracks and get some kind of dirt/asphalt challenge series going on.

Shadow agree 100% with you on that one... Is it not too late to get a new division up off the ground, especially seeing that the mods are not yet gone?

Are the rules between the other tracks in the mod class close enough that they could run at both tracks?

Who builds the cars, maybe they could rent some out in an effort to help bolster the class, and put a little cash in the pockets of those with the inventory? I am sure there are not too many parts on these cars that could be used in other divisions, or am I wrong here?

Its unfortunate the rules with other tracks are either WAY off or just far enough off that there are problems with being fair and having all cars be competitive. Not being a Mod driver I dont know enough about the rules from around other tracks.

But what everyone is saying ideally you would want 3 or 5 tracks to get together and run the same Mod rules so you each track could run 1 or 2 races each month and then once a month run 1 big Mod invitational and get a crazy car count. But like most things its easy to put on paper...
