So lets hear what we have to do on the site to make it more track friendly without hurting the site??

You know I base a lot of what goes on with this site by what the members have to say or suggest.

Don't be shy now.

Thanks

A separate section for results and comment by CRO corespondents that would be posted right after the races or at lest the very next morning . All the tracks have sites but almost none of them post results quickly . CRO could probally arrange for admittance / press pass for the person that was providing the weekly reports . This section would only be able to accessed by the CRO corespondents so the track management would not be seeing the results from his track followed by YOU SUCK.etc . The YOU SUCK etc comments would appear in the normal open forum providing sort of a fire wall between authorized and unauthorized CRO reporting and opinion . The results and opinion section should NOT have track employees providing the information for the same reason i don't want a restaurant reviewed by one of its employees .

I'd go along with Joe here. I'd think the first step would be getting 1 or 2 correspondents from each track that are serious enough about it to be dependable. If you could get the guys, and get them the proper media creds for what they're doing, then that would be a good first step. Without correspondents though, you're dead in the water, and good guys are hard to find. (meaning guys that carry themselves professionally at the track, and can actually write.)

I'll agree with Joe about opinion columns not being done by track staff, though guest editorials would be most welcome. I have no issue with results coming from staff though.

And as long as its all voluntary, there's going to be times the results arent up immediately. Free AND now is difficult to maintain.

heh...I was gonna respond to a kind thing said by Joe Chance, but it appears he took it back.

I'm crushed.

Shadow i think your race reports are better then the so called professional media in most cases . I figured i would not bother to stir the pot on the other part of the post .
