yeah but then all the results will just be bashed about on another thread! but yes i would check out all the local tracks results as sometimes they are hard to find even here on the net!

Well see that's the problem...and the reason tracks won't support this site in any official or meaningful way. I think any news site that wants to be treated by the tracks as legit, is not going to be able to include a public message board. And factual and complete results are only going to come from the tracks themselves. (they're the only ones with the actual scoring info)
These types of places are fun and informative in that fans are keeping in touch with one another. As it stands now, between some of us that do post results, we do a fairly good job of keeping the community up to speed. But as a track owner, I'd want to be sure that any site I was officially involved with would also help look out for my best interests. Allowing any knucklehead to publicly post any old thing he wants to about my business...founded or unfounded...is not in my best interest. So yeah...there's a downside that comes with message boards too.
Nascar also has forums and they are the big leagues and I see some really nasty posts. As for a track provide results would be in there best interest as maybe some new faces will show up at there track.
What hurts them is not listening to their fan base. So we are not hurting tracks and if our users could do this to a track the track has more a lot of problems.
If I was a track owner I would rather have people talking bad about my track then not talking about it at all. I used to do my best business when people bad mouth my computer business. People wanted to hear the other side and I had my best sales when a competor or someone bad mouthed me or my business.
So lets hear what we have to do on the site to make it more track friendly without hurting the site??
You know I base a lot of what goes on with this site by what the members have to say or suggest.
Don't be shy now.
Thanks

This is very true....Maybe more fans would want to check out a track they didn't know existed even if somebody was flapping their gums in a distasteful way towards a track. Or people that knew of the track would want to check it out to see for themselves.
Well, if you can convince track management/owners of your theory, then all should be good, no?
"Here...we'd like you to support our site...whose main feature is a message board. You will be second guessed, complained about, and spat upon from time to time on that message board...but really, it'll be good for business. So, will ya?"
😉
