Visiting Drivers for the 4&6 Cylinder Bone Stock 75 in October

This list was partly posted in another thread, but I'm not certain that the drivers from the other speedways always head over to the Delaware boards to see what we're up to.I am currently promoting a Bone-Stock 4 & 6 cylinder race at the track which will run on October 15th. The format is similar to an old-school enduro event. Some four-cyinder drivers have been excited about the possibility of joining in the fun either with their existing equipment or a purpose-built car for the event.Studying the rulebooks for the four-cylinder classes around the province, I find there are more similarities than differences. Many are close to the Bone Stock spec, but have perhaps gotten away a bit with modifications to the setups of the cars. Here’s the general rules checklist to run your racing program against if you are an existing competitor from another track:Nicely formatted checklist, available on the event info page now:event info:goal here is to invite others to join the fun, without compromising the stock-nature of the event. Here is a text verision of the same list:To run this event I need a:- Have-Fun Attitude- Four or Six Cylinder Vehicle- 4-point Roll Cage- 5-point seatbelts- Proper SA 2005 helmet- Minimum Spec Fire SuitI cannot run this event with:- Engine modifications of any kind- Suspension Modifications of any kind- Fancy new tires.If I wish to run this race, I will have to return to stock setup.I can have a:- Front hoop, provided I do not install additional Bone Stock bumper bars.- For car numbers: I will not force you to repaint, but I do suggest getting a theme, or even covering your number with the name of your car. This is mainly for the fans.I understand that:- This event will be taking place on a full 1/2-mile speedway.- That there will be obstacle cars pre-placed on the track.- Vehicles that are disabled during the race will be removed, and may be replaced with an obstacle car.- It is not a demolition derby - - but sheet metal shall be bent.---Some Speedway Specifics (After you read that attached link):Sauble Speedway "Dacar" Type CarsAre legal for competition, double check to make sure your roll cage is indeed up to spec for bone stocks. Make sure your castor and camber are stock.Sauble Speedway Four Cylinder CarsAre legal for competition with minor notes. Setup on the car (castor / camber) must be returned to stock position, same with anything you might have done to the springs. If you have any kind of 'performance tires', please don't bring them. Standard street tires only. If you are running a front-hoop, you are permitted to do so, but are not permitted to add the additional 'defensive rub rails' used by the Bone Stocks.Flamboro Mini StocksMuch the same as the Sauble Four Cylinders, your cars are legal for competition with a few minor rollbacks. This includes returning your castor / camber to stock. Again, 'performance tires' should be left at home. If you are running a front-hoop, you are permitted to do so, but are not permitted to add the additional 'defensive rub rails' used by the Bone Stocks.Peterborough Four-FunMany of cars are legal for competition with modifications. One notable one is that your rulebook currently does not require a roll cage, but you will need one to run in this event. This investment will also improve your safety at your home-track. Remember to return your castor and camber back to stock, and ensure you are indeed in compliance with the no-performance tire rules. You are permitted to add defensive rub rails per the Bone Stock rulebook.Peterborough Enduro (4 & 6)Your cars are legal for competition, however like the four-funs your rulebook does not have detailed cage specs. You do need a roll cage to run this event, which will improve your safety at your home-track races as well. Also please return your castor and camber to stock. Same with the tires.Peterborough Mini-StockYour cars are legal for competition, with minor modifications. Your cage specs are correct, but note that if you have installed a front hoop, you are not permitted to run front bumper bars in addition to the hoop. Castor and camber must be returned to stock. Please leave racing wheels and tires at home.Varney Stock FourThe Stock-Four rules have a number of problematic issues for a stock series, mainly relating to the suspension on the cars. If a Varney Stock four car is hoping to participate, please contact me well in advance of the event.Varney EnduroCars themselves are legal but require safety upgrades to cage and seatbelts to be approved. Stock setup, stock wheels.Capital City Speedway Enduro (Ottawa)The 4 & 6 Cyl cars from this division would be legal for competition, with some safety updates. most disclaimers will be minus the safety stuff. ie belts seat and fuel cell

Cars are going to be $300-$600 depending on the make and condition. My mind is the track should reserve the right to claim

Well got me stumped ok so you not Paul lol Sid or crew member who ever doesnt matter.
what i am trying to get threw to all about the 4cyl-6cyl class or whatever the hell it is .
if you are adding one you cant not add the others, there are approx. 150 + 4cyl mustangs out there racing right now at all the tracks.some moded some just stock FWD or RWD doesnt matter A 4CYL IS A 4CYL A 6CYL IS A 6CYL .
Maybe it is the fact that the fords are just to much car for this dog and pony show.
I watch a Volvo In varney kick eveyones ass with no mods whats so ever.
just straight car with safety cage and seat is all. oh ya its rear wheel drive.

The 2.3L 4cyl Motor as a fact can produce if done right 300hp and take up to as much as 9000 rpm.I built one it was illegal everywhere but still wa.s done
lets see a street stock or enduro do that.

anyway Get the word out and get what you can is the point here.
BRING EVERYKIND OF 4CYL CAR-6CYL CAR EXCEPT THE TURBO/SUPERCHARGED ONES FWD/RWD DONT MATTER BRING IT AND RACE PERIOD.
THAT IS THE MAIN POINT.

Well Delaware has a class to run a Mustang in it's called Enduro. Let John see this new division get off the ground before everybody eviscerates the hell out of it. There are lots of people who just wanna go door handle to door handle without breaking the bank.

as i agree with you 33 the track is to big for a regular type mini stock division but you get 50-70 4 cyl-6-cyl cars running around the same times could be fun to watch and compete in. i am supporting this. the track wouldnt spend money on something that would be a wash. i think it will take time no different then the chaos cars did. as for mustangs and 240's and turbos super chargers its all about safety and making it comfortable for NEW DRIVERS to come out and compete.

yup, that's what i mean, normal style 4 cyl race, brutal as all heck to watch, 4 cyl enduro, with CHEAP cars so they get lots, good stuff.
