I like Jeff but my understanding of the rules are if you screw with a crate you are gone for a calender year.
What I read sure sounds like someone was screwing with a crate.

Read again.... way off base here on your comments!

43. OPTION A: CRATE ENGINE

44. OPTION B: BUILT ENGINE

Had you done so prior to posting you would not look so ??

It was based on my conversation with Jeff that he was running a Crate.
Keep in mind if you get caught screwing with a crate and you are heavy enough you can call it a built.
This is a conversation board I believe and comments and questions are welcomed here.

An interesting point ..............at what point in time do you declare this, before or after the race ? It seems to me that most track tech are open to discussion on the do's and don'ts (days) before you race and a weight penalty may or may not apply in certain cases.

if he has been claiming its a crate and weighing in as a crate ....plain as day ....TOSS the CHEATER for a year!!!
