16 races equals 16 tires not including your original set so thats 20 tires. That's too many we have run a season on less than 15 tires. We hould be running down to where two adjacent bars show. That's just an idea, and we know there will be guys out there stabbing them and we also know you can't control everything. As far as rules parity among the track you can forget it, as it has and never will happen. I happen to like the rules that Delaware publishes. They make pretty good sense and having raced a few different tracks I can see why that is. I won't go into it now but if you want me too I can list it out.

As one of the "backmarkers" (mostly it's from the truck breaking all the time!) I must say I'm intrigued by the tire inventory rule.  I ran with a couple of sets in the hauler but every single one is a used tire from the 28 or 77 Super Stock teams... Don't get me wrong, the Hoosiers are pretty cool and they're not excessively pricey, but still, the budget isn't there for us, not yet anyway.

So, what, you limit each Truck or SS team to one new tire per week?  What if a tire gets cut down, does the replacement count as your one tire?

No a cut tire can be replaced with a new one
but how bout this :
a cut tire can only be replaced by new during the first three meets each team enters then after can only be replaced by used so after three nights thats 6 tires available for cuts but you should keep reading to see responce to JWO and then adjust this accordingly

now as far as your 20 tires in 16 races  I need to make that more clear for everyone....
you start with 4 tires
            plus 1  tire in week two=5
              plus 1 tire in week  3 =6
                    1  in week four    =7
                    1      week five  =8
                                      six  =9 ...7=10...8-11 9=12 10=13 11=14 12=15 13=16 14=17 15=18and night 16 is 19 tires

ya I know only 1 tire  but  that's what $110 at least that's what Sauble charged this year

how bout this to save more cash for all entry's
said tire rule was based on 8inch slicks for limited latesthey last about 4 races
the 7 inch tread (Delly SS tire) lasts 6 races for argument sake
so now lets redo this

4 tires to start    week 2 add 0    week 3 add 1 tire now that's 5 in three weeks
                                              week 4 get none=5
                                              week 5  get 1    =6
                                          2 weeks later  1    =7
                                          2 weeks later  1    =9
                                          week 11  add 1    =10
                                          week 13  add 1    =11
                                          week 15  add 1    =12

season over on week 16 a NON tire week  that saves you 3 tires that's what $330 PLUS SOME TEAMS WOULD BE FORCED TO SAVE EVEN MORE AND YES SOME TEAMS WOULD NOT USE ALL 12 TIRES BUT COULD NOT SELL TO OTHER TEAMS......and so what if you end up runnin on old 3/4 wore out tires well so would everyone else
and hey doesn't that put it back in the drivers hands instead of Hoosier and a backmark would soon find his used tires are very close to the front guys tires and that puts the Field closer together and promotes passing

If Delly puts SS/trucks on the Towel City Recap you could then add tires every 3 weeks instead of one or two that makes 8 for a 16 meet season if my math is correct

any thoughts on this?

Actually I forgot you need a left rear spare and a right side for the first night

Ok sure start with 4 or start with 6 each team can make up their own mind on thier spare needs but if you start with 6 you cant buy another tire untill the same week as everyone gets tire 7.....make sence??
