Its a great division to watch as a track/truck sponsor, our (your) money goes here. I dont think we need to reinvent the rulebook, enforce a zero tolerance approach to rule breakers. No more "drive thru" no-tech to teams.
And perhaps start marketing your product as a "starter race division" and not a veterans, shame the kids division.
Spec chassis, 290HP crate 3 speed standard, Spec ratio, spec headers, 4412, and rev limiter say 5900? 8" recap tires maybe and 3400 min weight...go nuts
Trucks were fun when they first came out, because it was 3-5K to build one. Now that's the front end alone.
Right on the money Dougy Those days are long gone, weather it was the racers being racers wanting to go faster. Pushing the limits of the rule book or Tech letting it go to amend the rule book for the next year, and the racers getting what they want. People still complane, need to change something to go still faster , type of brakes , engine package , weight , heights , new after market parts from McColl's who loves to take your money , and then say it costs to much. Then to have a truck that can only run at Delaware ??
But that's a whole new subject
I love all forms of racing , but the horse is out and on the next farmers field likely not to return. That's racing it has always been the same,If you want to race , it costs money you don't make money
all you guys do is bitch about everything. If you want to get serious about it make the commitment or else it will never change. You want more trucks or a faster top 5? which is it? a handful of racecars isn't going to make a show. You lobby for change and if you don't get leave...pretty simple formula.
Eventually the track owners might get the picture.
