Looks to me like they both came out of two pretty low. There was half a lane left to the wall. The 10 was just inside the 72 comming off two. Did the 72 turn down or did the 10 turn up? It looks like the 72 got a little loose off two as you can see his front wheel turning right a bit. You can see the 10 turn right a bit after the 72 starts to come across his bow. Maybe there was a little 'screw you' by both drivers but over all looks like a racing deal. Is Delaware trying to crack down on agressive driving? Don't know but if the rule is an involved car gets the black and that was made clear in the driver's meeting then it is what it is. I have seen this same scenario many times at Delware in the past. Sometimes the black was shown other times not. Depends on what the drivers have been told as to when the black will fly I guess. To walk away on a season though there must be some back story or percieved injustice going on that we are not privy to.
I think it looks like at the 18 second mark 10 is already tagging the quarter panel of 72 and that starts the whole thing down the back straight. But even if it was a bad call by the officials there wouldn't be too many racers out there if they all quit over a bad call
The truth of the matter is its a racing deal.
Anyone who has driven a racecar has squeezed a guy and we have all had calls go in our favour and against us.
The big thing to remember is these cars have 3 pedals and the guy holding the wheel is incharge of the wheel and the pedals.
A choice was made in both cars.
The problem is one car is tore up and one car went home.
Either way its a lose for car count and a good racer has decided to stay at home.
If anything maybe everyone will look at this video and realize this things are fast and guys can get hurt doing this (Hobby Racing) and maybe give a guy a break and lift.
As Ken Schrader says....they were both at fault because they were on the track at the same time! 😉

What Ron said was " If the car ahead goes around off your bumper, then expect to go to see a black" ( It was in my notes)
It was to deal with the "He drove over me" "He let up" senario in the corner running nose to tail. (paraphrasing the explaination)
I don't think that applies here. Strickly a judgement call made while watching a race at speed.
