Hornaday declined the offer, said he has already signed a letter of intent with a chevie team. Posted on Jayskis, I dont have the link handy.
Confirmed, it's also on NASCAR's website as of a few days ago. Hornaday openly states he has a ride, hopefully he isn't bluffing.
....I will play devil's advocate and say that Carl and Brad were racing for the WIN, and it was the very last lap--in Turn 2 of that lap, Brad had knocked Carl out of the way for the win, and Carl was retaliating. It still sucked and yeah, it ruined potentially great finishes for lots of drivers. But because, again, it was in SOME WAY an eye for an eye, and it was hard racing on a short track for the WIN on the last lap.... It sucked, but I won't put it in the same category as what Kyle did.
Let me play devil's advocate...
What Kyle did was for the same reason, retaliation, with the same result, someone getting wrecked and being taken out of the race, so what is the difference?
Yes Kyle did it under caution, but isn't that a safe time do do something like that, rather than at full speed with the rest of the field behind you also at full speed?
Reasons and results are the same, Kyle's way was a whole heck of a lot safer... Something to think about.
For starters, you should spend sometime researching some of Kyle's bonehead MOVES (plural), both on the track and off, you don't even have to include anything during a races either to see he has issues.
Here's a few off the top of my head;
1)Doing Donuts in a Mcdonald's parking lot.
2)140 mph on public roads, with his wife in the car
The 2 above are inexcusable, considering the access he has to race tracks and how many are in the NC area. Where would you be if you got caught doing that? Probably jail, not just a slap on the wrist.
3)pushing Harvick's car into the wall on pit lane
"Everybody makes mistakes", The only difference is the rest of us learn from them.
Maybe he should stay in a lower series of racing, because with all his talent, he has yet to secure himself a championship in the top series. ???
With all your insight and knowledge, you should be Kyle's PR rep. ::)
140 MPH vs 140 KPH.... big difference.
Secondly, a pickup truck story?? You're comparing Dale Sr.'s story to of a truck, to 140 MPH (do not recall the car)??
Thirdly, damn right SOAPCAR was made by rum runners, they moved it to WHERE IT'S LEGAL.
I'm glad there's at least one Kyle Douche fan supporting the guy, and even Joe Gibbs (which I admire and read his book even) is backing the dumass. I am insanely jealous of his success, yes I can admit it from a TALENT point of view. I am a fairly good driver, but nothing like that. But that talent is the same reason everyone hates him. His skills turn him into a complete moron. It is not youth, it's arrogance. I only hope The Coach didn't stick his neck out too far this time. He had a lot of the same problems with Stewart, who I have been cheering for since Sr. left us. Hopefully Gibbs proves you right, and myself and 95% of the people who like racing wrong.

Oh come on grandpa... You've never done anything like those? I have, its called being young, which Kyle happens to be.
Happy to this day to be considered a "street racer" by the province of Ontario. Guess, I just one of those badasses who should be jailed too. Enjoy your rocking chair buddy.
3) Pit lane and Harvick, that's just funny.... Bad example to bring up, as all that does for me is bring up pictures of Harvick dancing on Rudd's hood and strangling Biffle. I do recall Harvick being parked for the weekend after a truck race..
If you're calling me, Grandpa, it certainly explains the mentality of your argument. 😀
NASCAR is a corporate business, a far cry from what and where it was even 10 years ago. None of the mentioned drivers cowardly used their cars to make their point, after the fact, either they were all tough enough to get out and settle it face to face. Even Kurt didn't do things this cowardly when Jimmy straightened him out.
