The Kyle Busch thing

As for the two incidents that I am comparing, I do realize that once under caution drivers are usually not expecting to get hit, unless it's a low speed, and the two incidents are different no doubt.  However, to pay someone back coming off the final turn in front of the field was in my mind one of the worst retaliations I had ever seen.   After four or five cars crashed in that mess, someone hit Brad extremely hard causing him to violently spin down the track, that was as his car was close to being stopped.  His dad said it best, and I think if I go back and watch both over again, they are different, but not day and night. I thought for sure Carl would have been parked that week end because it was his second deal with Brad.

Aside from that, Kyle let down his fans, his hard working crew, the sponsors of the truck he drove, and of course his main sponsors for the races he didn't run. All his fans coming to watch him run, the people invited by M&M's to their suite, a driver meet and greet, etc, all lost because he messed up....and for me the killing blow (maybe) is that he seemed not to care too much about it.  That's the part that I don't get.

Hopefully he learns. Imagine if Joe Gibbs cut him lose and no one else picked him up.  I don't see that happening, and I hope it doesn't happen, he is far too exciting to lose.

Carl Edwards didn't lose any sponsors, and he turned it around having an awesome 2011.  The scales of patience are slowly tipping for Kyle Busch, and in a direction that I would think is not looking good for KB.  I would give him another chance, maybe along with shock treatment, we'll see if anymore comes of this.

I agree Gary, the spoiled brat I dont give a crap attitude is a big part of this deal.
Looks like this may affect him a little more than he could have imagined.

Kyle Busch out of ride for rest of 2011? UPDATE2: on the website, tireball.com is reporting.....the rumors and if they are true, like they appear to be, then Kyle Busch is out of a ride until Daytona and now without sponsorship. Busch was parked this [last] week at Texas due to actions in the Camping World Truck Series when he wrecked fellow competitor Ron Hornaday under caution.(tireball.com).
AND in Twitter, SceneDaily's Bob Pockrass reports in a few Tweets:
NASCAR has given Kyle the OK to race. It's in the hands of the sponsor and the team.
On Kyle Busch: JGR still hasn't confirmed if he'll race Cup at PIR. I lean toward he'll race but wouldn't be surprised either way.
For those asking about Kyle and PIR, I think more likely he races than not, but JGR has yet to confirm that he will race.
AND II the weekly race preview for JGR/Kyle Busch has not been released as of yet when it usually comes out on Tuesday.
UPDATE: The fallout from #18-Kyle Busch's road rage at Texas continued Thursday when one of his sponsors asked for him to be removed from the season-ending Nationwide Series race. Multiple people familiar with Busch's schedule told the AP that Z-Line Designs asked this week that Denny Hamlin replace Busch in next weekend's Nationwide race at Homestead. The people spoke on condition of anonymity because Busch's future was still being discussed Thursday with sponsors and Joe Gibbs Racing. Among the options being considered is Aric Almirola replacing Busch in the final two Sprint Cup Series races of the season, as primary sponsor M&M's decides how it wants to proceed with Busch. Although NASCAR has cleared Busch to race this weekend at Phoenix, JGR officials have been silent on his status in Sunday's Cup race.(more at the Associated Press website)
UPDATE2: Aric Almirola told ESPN.com on Thursday he has been contacted by Joe Gibbs Racing about possibly replacing Kyle Busch in the final two Sprint Cup races and is awaiting final word from the organization. ESPN's Marty Smith reported on SportsCenter and NASCARNow that Busch, according to sources, will be in the #18 Cup car this weekend at Phoenix and next weekend at Homestead. Multiple sources said the car likely will be sponsored by Interstate Batteries instead of M&Ms, which was scheduled to be on the car. Mars Incorporated, which manufacturers M&Ms, stated its displeasure with Busch over his intentionally wrecking Ron Hornaday in last Friday's Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. But according to sources the sponsor still had reservations about having its name on the Cup car with Busch for the last two races, prompting the call to Almirola. Almirola said JGR president J.D. Gibbs contacted him on Wednesday to see if he would be available. Almirola, who drives a Chevrolet for JR Motorsports in the Nationwide Series, said JRM has given him permission to drive for the Toyota team. "Your guess is as good as mine,'' Almirola told ESPN.com before Nationwide practice at PIR as to what will happen. "I know they're working through a lot of things. I just told them I was available if they needed me.''(ESPN)

are u serious?
the interview with Joe Gibbs said it all...
never seen him so serious or worried, his hands were actually shaking...
kyle is out there representing Mars and every person that works for Gibbs racing...he may have made his millions but there are all kinds of "little people" working on that car for him that depend on him to feed their families...maybe once he has some kids he'll smarten up...in this economy any race team would love to have Mars...

Yetti, I think you need to look back at Kyle's history on-off track. It's no different, and storied whether you are just looking for an argument... or genuinely are a Kyle Douche fan. Let's see, gets into altercations with people off the track in the pits three times we know of. Countless shouting matches with other drivers who value their jobs, sponsors, and fans (hence them not punching him out). He has private secutiry teams HE HIRED at the track now (only driver to do such a thing). Hell, sixty year old Childress knocked him out!

Everyone would love to take a hotrod ripping down city streets. This bonehead did it, and them some. The fact he didn't even correctly talk about it after, until someone cracked him over the head with something days later. His brother wasn't much different when he started (yes he was actually knocked out a few times), but he learned his lesson. To say Mars Inc, is a subpar sponsors shows how little you may be aware of the current deficit/economy issue in the States. Ours is choppy, but their's is insane. This thread isn't a shot at you, but I seriously think if you are a Kyle Douche fan, you are braver to mention it than I would be 🙂
