Tentative Delaware 2012 Schedule

I'm scared this schedule will back fire. We need the Victoria Day weekend back again. A big show with camping and fun and lots to keep you entertained. Back in the day's when we first got started in racing we camped and watched the weekends races and we were back at least 5- 6 more times that year.

In our assessment this new schedule has the strongest chances for success than any schedule in recent memory.  Do not be afraid of backfire: we've already lived that.  As noted at the drivers meeting, and worth noting again, every season schedule for the past 5 years or so has already backfired (on a technical-financial level for the speedway).

This is the season where we, as a community, get this turned around.

The schedules in recent years, in many ways have been super-saturated with special events, taking emphasis off the weekly racing program.  A strong goal this year is rebuilding that weekly racing brand, with the tighter 12 race season, in the historically better weather window.  It also has the side effect of creating a shorter promotional window, allowing us to concentrate the track's advertising campaign.

So then we can safely the say the schedule it what is and there will be no racing on Victoria Day weekend?
It's sounds like the management of the track has things under control. I'm working a sponsorship deal and I would like to move forward as soon as possible as the sponsor is an outdoor type a deal and he is looking hard atthe London market. Any Idea when we can go forward with a firm idea and if we're dropping the NASCAR Home Track?
It seems every hint has come to fruition so lets press forward and write it in stone 🙂

How some rain dates as part of the schedule seeing as there are only 12 races and the land owners are now track owners...one bad night and there goes the championship hopes.  It would be nice to see the new owners take as much pride in the track as they do their PRIVATE over priced golf course.

I only see one issue with the Bone Stocks and the Enduro guys running on the same night. Thats is they will be alot of the same drivers and teams. This maybe a issue for trailers and towing. I also hope as a driver of the enduros that it dosen't shorten are races even more due to the bone stocks running.  We seem to get shorter and shorter every year.

Just my two cents......

I think it depends on what groove you're in.

You know what progressive banking is? Well we sorta have the opposite of that.  😉
