Ans also, as an aside, I'd really like to know why the cheapest cars to run, run one or 2 nights a month, and the expensive ones race every week.
Don't know about that Trev. Just got back from the track and a few of those Enduros looked like SS to me.

thats the bottom line isn't it? Fast Enduros are as fast as out dated SS's, fast SS's are approaching Sportsman speeds, modifieds got priced out of the game and now they keep making the LM's faster. bump stops and now testing 10" tires on them?? A few months ago we're talking bout slowing the cars down and now?? racers are their own worst enemy!! makes me shake my head......

I can understand the cost argument, but again when was the last real subframed/full-framed midsized car made? Chargers, Challengers, New fox-bodied Mustangs, New Camaro's are all unit-bodided. Secondly, the cost to buy a usable unit is insane. Unless someone has 1-200 Nova/Camaro clips hiding in a barn somewhere, the sport has to change.
Do I like change?... No, but what else are you left with? 10-12 cars guys grabbed from Gramp's barn out back?? Not likely, so you are left with building new. Last time I went to look at a few chassis' to use... the owners thought their rusted out carcass was a million dollar Barret/Jackson viable car. I am not complaining, but do now see the need for new bodied cars. For those of us wishing a part of the old days would stay (I am one of those, but get it), we all need to see that's just life. A loaf of bread cost 25 cents when I was a kid, and yet someone will post they remember cheaper. Gas was better, the air was cleaner, and women were better lookin.
Bottom line, as I near 40, I understand more life (and racing) will change or it will pass on. This isn't a bitch-fest.. it's just my take on it.
