Just curious how come you didn't race much this year Dan?
Broke my one race old 602 crate during practice for opening night. Connecting rod bolt broke, well one of them the other connecting rod bolt was sitting on the track and the nut was sitting in the pan. Looks like GM forgot to torque all the connecting rod bolts. I worked with Jeff Wilcox and the GM performance Rep. to get me a new engine for cheap or free cause these engines usually run 4 - 5 years flawless not 1.5 nights. Even though there is no warrenty on a 602, Jeff did alot of dealing with GM Performance Rep. and since they were going thru bankrupcy during this time things were really slowed down. What finally came out of it was the GM Performance Rep. was able to source a 602 short block, then my broken 602 heads and intake were put on the new short block at Saunders who did the rebuild and dyno'd it the track signed off that the engine was a 602 good for racing. This took until the final race of the season.
A big thanks goes to Jeff Wilcox for all the hard work he did to get this deal done.
