I'll be running a Powerglide this season.  Having the option of the Direct Drive Coupler means I'd only be losing a few horsepower to the manual guys, as opposed to a bunch, and have that instant punch off the corner like a stick too.  I would hope that rule change means you'll see more Automatics around, because finding those 3 speeds is getting harder and harder, and none of the restoration and musclecar guys want to give up 4 speeds...  :-[
