So, that's it for me, for now. I just want to throw out the idea that Pete James alluded to in his broadcast yesterday morning. The GM quit (for whatever reason) and this is a pretty common thing in the world of sports. You think if the GM of the Leafs quit that the team would fold? So take a deep breath, and make a point of helping in any way you can. From the Stands is right. If you care at all, try and help solve the problem instead of compunding it with negativity.
100% True,
Not Truex he'd be pissing on the thing 😆 .
Have all the teams and drivers sent in their membership dues. Discount is good till end of this month. Cash in hand sure makes setting up a new season easier.
It's also good to show an interest.
OK, we send in the money; if the seasons a no go, do we get our money back?
I honestly dont believe this is a money issue. Maybe between the owners, something like 50% want to repave and the other 50% does not want to repave, just a thought.
I would just like to know if it's a go, kinda hard to get sponsor $$$ when there's an article like that in the paper. I would also like to know what to do with the pistons laying all over the work bench, put them back in the engine, or use them as a paperweight or doorstop. They do work well for that.

I thought for sure, we weren't suppose to open those crate engines... Jamie, is this you?? No couldn't be, he's a Kurt Bush fan. LOL
I want to offer my apologies for a certain flip comment I made earlier in this thread. The offeded parties know who they are. It was not meant to be insulting, it was only borne of frustration with the way the thread was being de-railed.
I didn't mean it in any personal way.
Again, I apologize for any offense.
🙂
Well, good news all.
I just had a conversation with the race director at the speedway. He cleared me to say publicly that the race season WILL go, and that the track ownership, despite the bumps in the road, are as comitted to moving forward as ever.
Keep an eye on the Delaware website for further updates.
Shadow out.
