If im doing 50 km/h or more over the limit then by all means impound my car and take my lisence cause i made a choice to do something wrong and got caught.

My problem is when the police have the power to impound my car and take my lisence for 7 days cause the officer thought i was a street racer just cause i have a modified vehicle. So for 7 days i cant go to work which puts strain on my fanancial situation. Then if i get fired im really screwed. all because a cop thought i might be a street racer.

Then I suggest you vote for John Tory ;D All kidding aside, the cops would have to have some kind of evidence before they could take your car. If cops were mean spirited enough to just take your car for the sake of it, then they would be able to do it anyway! remember, police officers have the right to instantly suspend your licence, or impound your vehicle under the law as it stands right now. 99% of cops, as we all know are reasonable human beings. If the 1% abuse their power then this law would go down the same path as photo radar, and would be canned.
