So what happened at the end of the race....
Did anyone hear what penalties were dealt out to the 88 car. I know Delaware said they were coming done hard on things like those that happened in turn 4 at the end of the race. He was sure lucky not to get run over going across the track to take a shot at the 93 while cars were were still out there.
Yeah...wouldn't want the drivers getting all emotional.
And the fans...think of the fans...they don't wanna see that stuff.
😀
Sort of a "Thanks, but don't do it again" sort of thing....I think most people don't mind emotion, like helmet-tossing or whatnot, but as long as it doesn't boil down to fistfights ala. St. Denis/Simko it's alright...
When the checkers flew, the 93 was up against the wall. Apparently 88 took some exception to something that had happened and ran out to confront him, then a crowd gathered and that was all I saw. (I sit at the opposite end of the speedway)
Just a couple of the boys venting. Nothing to get anyone's knickers in a twist about. Sit em down in the trailer, work it out, and put em' on probation.
Or...if you wanted to create some excitement, you could have a match race.
But of course, then you might be in danger of selling too many tickets. 😉

I guess that's point. Couple of swings were thrown. Whatever,.. but, if my kid had seen that driver get run over by the car he ran in front of. How do you deal with that. It was one of those " cover your eyes, I don't need to see this" moments.
I hear that Wilcox told Timmermans to not return.
Something that started with Wilcox saying "This ain't a Hockey game and there is no room for that type of action here."
That's what I have heard.
From what I understand the 93 lost his brakes on the last lap and collected the 88. No time to talk just swing away.
