This whole thing is like the Kevin/Amy debacle about 5 years ago. The sky was supposed to fall then too. Surprise. It didn't.

I have no earthly idea why you wouldn't just carry on business as usual until you hear otherwise. If it was me I'd maybe hold off IF I was building a brand new car....but how many guys are really doing that?

And if you're taking rumor and hearsay, and then taking it and TELLING your sponsors that there might be potential issues at the speedway before anything's even been announced...welll, you dug that hole yourself.

I know it's slowing down work I have to do for other teams this winter, not too pumped about a spring thrash.

My biggest concern is changes to the fabrication rules, I have heard murmurs of a 58" wide cage, I would like to build a new car, how ever it takes time and money and sponsor involvement is good. A schedule is nice as well. So in short some of the rumors i hear last year were just that while others were not.

I guess this answers a lot of questions .....

The management of Delaware Speedway would like to announce that Ron Sheridan will not be renewing his contract as Director of Race Operation for the 2012 season. We would like to wish Ron well in his future endeavors and thank him for his  hard work and tireless efforts during the 2011 season.

That has got to be one of the worst positions to hold, hated and rarely loved in my opinion. Thanks Ron for giving a year in, and hope your back racing.
