Delaware hosted their annual rules meeting to a tremendous number of teams at the Delaware Community Centre Monday, January 18th.
Some of the more interesting topics of discussion included floater rear ends that will be allowed in 2010 in the Super Stock division after many teams had problems with breaking rear ends last year. If you run a floater, there will be a 100 lb. weight penalty, and the weight should be reduced in 2011.
The Open Wheel Modifieds will see their allotment of tires shrink in 2010.
A little more detail was added about the Delaware Summer Showdown, as it seems like the top-ten or 15 are locked in, as well as the three NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers, Busch, Ruetimann, and Smith. Then there would be somewhere in the seven to 11 range that make the field after that, with those spots having to see the drivers qualify into.
Time trials, heat races, a B-Main, and an A-Main will make up the night for the APC Late Models.
The Labour Day weekend program will also change, as double features will take place on the Friday night, with Sunday’s 200-lap feature being a stand-alone event with no points on the line.
There will also be two other nights where the Late Models run twin 25’s.
