What were the car counts like???

like 15 of each

drove an hour and 15 thru rain and get to the track its blue sky...
started 15 mins late to give drivers a chance for some laps before racing..
14 late models, 14 trucks, 18 or 19 trucks...
81 lm and Jr started pole and never really had a challenge, Jr was a straight aw2ay ahead of second who was a number of car lengths ahead of the 3rd place car...
best racing was for the 3rd to 6th spots...
trucks had a better and closer race...
just great to see some pavement racing...

heat winners should start at the back for features.....boring to watch fast cars just take off ,invert the heats

First night of the year. They drew for heat starting positions. Just happened that in SS and LM the fastest ended up on the pole. As the new system gets straightened out over the next few races then the fast guys will start from P 6 back. The new format is on the website. JR's car was fast and he got to wave to himself between 3 and 4 every lap.
