Turn one I have my opinion on this and you have yours I see nothing wrong with how I do this getting my opinion out on a certain subject I registered on this site and see no reason to register on any other site.As I said this site Canadianracingonline is doing a great job and i feel there is no need for another site GRR . As I said let everybody no what is going on just one site .

A listing on the GRR site said their is a possible series for Thunder Cars next year with a possible sponsor being Lowes Canada. The site says the possible tracks if it is a go would be Sauble,Flamboro,Sunset,Varney, & Cayuga.Unfortunally Delaware
is not on the list because their Sport Stocks (Street Stocks ) are
completely different to the Thunder Car.I think Delaware should think hard on this subject to change their cars to spec of a Thunder Car.It could be costly to each race team to do this but if they donot they ( Delaware Drivers ) could be missing out on something big for this type of car.Drivers that used to race at Delaware in the old Street Stock days that run Thunder Car now at Flamboro this year are Brad Collison & Dave Silverthorne Jr & Sr( Sr raced thunder car Last year ) Unfortunally as of now Delaware cars are all by them selves as for rules as other Tracks
seem to be on the same track.I hate to say but if Delaware does not think about this (Possible change) they could be left out to dry as some Delaware drivers might change their cars on their own and drive in this series like what Collison & Silverthornes did. as you no they left Delaware not to return (Silverthone did once last year ).Hopefully Delaware thinks hard about this over the winter or I hate to say you may have a shortage of cars (Street Stocks ) if this series goes off.Would it not be great to see a series like this (Thunder Cars ) come to Delaware. This I think would draw crowds because this is real Grass Roots Racing (GRR)

I highly doubt existing Super Stock teams are going to leave in droves for a slower Thunder Car series which is still on the drawing board. If that was the case, they'd all be running Enduros by now. I do think the track might help themselves by slowing down the Super Stocks somewhat, in order to get some of the Flamboro thunders on a level playing field (ie. Collison, Jackson, McIlroy)...Heck, getting away from a 100%-crate mentality might help as well, to allow the most number of cars to compete...

Mobile 1 I agree with your statements of slowing down the Super Stocks to make Thunder cars competive with them which means possible return of Collison etc.And getting away from the crate engine which i think is a money grab only. What I was saying reguarding cars moving to the POSSIBLE THUNDER CARS series was that I no they will not lose all SUPER STOCKS but as you no anything can happen in this business and you may lose a few especially if this group gets a big sponsor as they say is possible ( Lowes of Canada ). Look at other series when the big name sponsor came into Canada ( NASCAR CANADA ) Teams like Hathaway, Brown to name afew ran at Delaware then moved on when the big sponsor came in.All I was saying that maybe Delaware take a look at what could possibly happen. It does not hurt to be ready just incase it does happen. As I said you never no and anything is possible.

Anyway, no one on there even said anything about an actual series. The idea behind that original post was simply for a WWS/NASCAR Weekly style deal for Thundercars, where everyone races their home track, but competes points wise with all the other participating groups. The cars don't even have to line up tech wise for something like that.

Having said that...didn't our little cadre of elite Enduro guys compete when they used to have that "outlaw" thunder car group? If it did become a touring thing, we could have races based on those guys running it.

I really, really don't think you want to go monkeying with the SuperStock rules to accomodate something like this, even if it was going to happen. (and thats a big if) The Super Stocks right now are virtually the same cars that were dubbed CASCAR Late Models in the late 80s...a style of car that revitalized Delaware, and brought it out of the Jr Hanley induced dark ages.

Only diff is, they're not the headliners anymore...which is a shame.

As far as an 100 percent crate mentality, I don't actually know if that's true or not...but I'm all for it.

super stocks don't have to run crates, built are an option. anybody that says they need to get away from making the crate an advantage doesn't know what's actually going on in the pits.
