Man, that's great news for several reasons. From an overall business standpoint, I always cringe at the idea of racers running a racetrack....but considering the "rags to riches" story of L82/Demar, I think these guys are racers AND businessmen. I'm optomstic.
As LMFAN pointed out, hopefully this will solve the track surface problem too.
And you can bet that, as guys that race/raced in enduros, mods, and trucks, that they definitely know a thing or two about 2nd tier level racing. That bodes a lot better for Friday nights IMO.
Race director, I don't know about. I think we have a great one already...he's the one down on the stand with the flag in hand. What we need is a tech boss that never loses sight of the dollar signs when it comes to what's allowed in what division. Job 1, at least for SS and Truck, NEEDS to be "keep the cost of being competitive down, or at least keep it from going up."
I think its good news.
good news..... how many months till the green flag flys?? Winter sucks!!
Just saw some heavy equipment heading that way. Are they starting the reno already??
Fix the corners, increase the purse, get the rules in order and Delaware Speedway will be back better than ever.
Great news, and can't wait to see what becomes of all this goodness.
Well hopefully we can get back to the task at hand and stabilize the program so it can possibly see growth instead of decline
How long before we get a renovation list? I have waited for something like this for yearsss :p
