Legend Cars are a regular division at Grand Bend. Its the second season, and its a growing division. The invitational was designed to expose these cars to this part of Ontario. There is a relativley large group racing in Eastern ON, Peterboroughm the now defunct CTMP, Barrie.
The Michigan Legends are doing a cross border seires with Grand Bend currently along with their own Michigan series. The July 20th invittional was scheduled to include those teams, and many were excited to run the big 1/2 Mile, but a rain make up date at Flat Rock prevented them from participating.
3 Races at Grand Bend Speedway remain fro the Can-Am Legends , and I'd like to personalyl welcome everyone to come watch and view these cars up close this coming Saturday Aug 3. The pits are open, and you can freely walk up to teams and ask questions.
Thanks

I don't think Delly is ready for Legends as a new weekly class just yet. Get those guys from Michigan, and Grand Bend up here for a Legends shootout, now that would be great. I do believe mini stock for Friday nights is the way to go. It's one step above Bone Stock, and gets guys to learn setup. Front drive/rear drive, just keep it simple. Weight penalties to slow guys down, so it gives people a chance to win and costs are removed from it. Delaware needs to keep the cheaters out of it, just by making a reasonable claim rule, that everyone abides by. By claim, I mean the entire car. They do this in Europe for autocross, and beginner rally racing series. you have 16 year olds racing 80 year old fossils. Everyone has a great time, and those rules have been in effect since the 70s.
