WOW! That much? That does count them out as an entry level class.
My understanding was the engines were a sealed crate type engine. I never imagined that they would cost that much. How long do they last?

Still, though that type of car is something that should be considered for the future. More for the type of chassis, but maybe with a different powerplant?
I don't know, just a thought.

Legends are expensive as heck, but they are great stepping stones to other classes. Kurt/Kyle Douche (I mean Busch) ran these for years before NASCAR just to name a few. They are exciting to watch though, and I would be happy to watch them a few times at at Delly.

there is/was a cobalt racing at sauble beach and from what i understand u build them just like the cavs and sunfires now and that is u dont cut any wires and leave the cluster intact...pretty easy stuff...problem is more and more guys are getting dynoed and re programing their computers which sucks...even minis are starting to get stupid cost wise...10 grand ??..
legends had a big hay day years ago until some of those guys left and started the pro challenge series...now u have 2 series with not alot of cars and the same 3 or 4 guys win all the time...as a visiting series to watch that is cool but week after week, boring...and they arent cheap to buy or fix...
unfortunately delly has wrecked the truck class which at one time had the largest count and alot of nites the best races and was one of the cheapest classes to get started in...

stick with the bone stock style as your entry level class. its dollar for dollar your best game in town. keep the rules under control to keep the costs down and make the penalties such that you DONT want to get caught cheating. Need to start running them on more fridays too. If you were walking into the track for the first time last friday and saw that big infield with 23 haulers in it you wouldnt even thnk anything was going on. Now add 20 - 30 BS's and their crews, not to mention the 4 or 5 peeps each brings up top.... its a win win deal???
