sorry, i guess i didn't ask for a specific gear as it's for a 4cyl for the enduro and the street stock, truck, etc ratios don't work out as the tranny, rear ends, tire roll-out etc are all different.
around a 7:1 total gives me 6500 at flamboro, but i can't for the life of me figure out what i need for Delaware as i don't have a clue how much faster it will be running. it's a 3/8 compared to a 1/2 mile which is 33 % bigger (or 25% smaller, depending on how you look at it) but banking and how it's measured, make big differences.
i just thought if someone runs for example 6.2:1 at flamboro and 5:1 at delaware, then i'd know that about 20% taller gear overall might work. that's the reason i was looking for a percentage difference.
hope that made sense
thanks
we ran a 5.68 and turned 6200 at Flamboro with the crate and a glide, with a TH350 we ran 6.45 and turned 6500 I here some folks is running 6.01 at flammy but spinning them hard, right now I believe most of the Supers are using a 5.38

Funny thing about about gearing one gets you out of the corner whereas another gets you into the corner and you do not necessarily have it both ways. A lot of guys get fooled by this and when they got it figured out they tell everybody so everybody wins LOL
It's not a big secret and gearing will usually not be the determing factor on who wins the race. Heck as soon as one guy buys a set of gears and wins the whole world knows about it. Tallgears are great in traffic and good off, but short are also good if you can break away and be ultra smooth. It's always a trade off.
What type of four cylinder? If I knew what car you are running I could possibly give you more info. Also what tranny, manual or auto.. I can look up gear ratios for you pretty quick, and possibly give you a little more info.
