This is such a tough situation for all concerned. The parents are responsible for the outcome because of the age factor but the way kids are today there is no parental control. If there is ....maybe take the car away for a month or two....the embarrassment alone should be worth something.
NOW for the JACOBS family, drivers, crew.....WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU. On top of everything else you haven't had the decency to issue an APOLOGY to the Newman's as well as the racing group that you were a part of, and the majority of the fans who would see this as a COWARDLY act !!

The Jacobs Family said they wanted to make waves. I think that goal was achieved. Now the undertoe has sucked them out to sea and I hope we never see them again.

Props to the track for doing what was right. Management doesn't get a lot of credit but I think this was the right move. I think Management deserves a round of applause

WELL SAID!

I would have to think that anything less than a 365 day suspension is not enough. I've seen this before at Flamboro and Sauble when we raced the in the Challenger division. You would get a 365 day suspension and then the drivers had an open vote to let you back in or not.

If the track doesn't do enough to protect it's drivers, then it's up to the drivers themselves to take care of business. I don't mean fighting, but they can make it pretty tough of the NACHO LIBRE JACOBS clan. E-mail their sponsors, people we as the public can support or not support who we wish.

FM 96 has already received a lot of bad publicity because of them.

I think things really started going down hill when Rusty Wallace signed the 8 car 😉

The track did a good thing with their announcement IMO. They could have just said they were investigating but they went to the next step and let everyone know. I don't really think it would have been a good thing if the 1 and 8 showed up Friday with what I have been reading online so the track had to act. I didn't know a lot about the back story hear but it seems that if this particular incident didn't happen then something else similar would have eventually. Maybe at the end of the day something good will come out of all this.

We have always prided ourselves on having sharp looking race cars to bring to the track every week. That goes not just for the late model but also for my siblings race cars as well, which race with variations of our maple-leaf paint scheme.  We like to project a professional image for our team and show that we take this seriously, and we always have.  As far as maintaining our annual support goes, promoting our team and promoting what we do is huge.  From radio interviews with FM96 to newspaper articles and the like, we just work on getting our team known and in the media. We maintain positive relationships with sponsors all year round and really make an effort to get people behind what we do every summer. We show up at the track every week and work hard.  We’re persistent, professional, and one of the most dedicated race teams around, and I think that that’s definitely something people can respect.

Just thought this interview quote from Marc was funny, From Ontario Oval

He must of forgot the part about coming off the top rope and getting tagged in by his little Bro.
