Friday’s Post Race Incident
Delaware Speedway continues to investigate a post race altercation on Friday, August 3 in the Late Model series. The incident occurred when Late Model teams #1 and #8 entered the pit of the #99 Late Model.
Numerous General rules and Delaware policies where broken during the incident including:
•4-4 the driver assumes responsibility for his or her own actions, crew’s actions and family’s actions.
•7-1 Anyone who, by word or deed, impedes jeopardizes or in any manner hinders the smooth and orderly presentation of the racing program, or anyone who commits, or causes to be committed, any detriments to stock car racing and/or Delaware Speedway may/will be considered to have abused the privileges of membership.
•7-3 Drivers are responsible for the sportsman like conduct of anyone in their crew and penalties incurred by a crew member may affect driver, and or registered car owner.
•22-4 Any driver, car owner, or mechanic who takes part in any demonstration or fights on any speedway grounds before, during or after a race shall be subject to suspension, and or up to and including expulsion
Based on what has been confirmed so far Late Model Team #1 and #8 are immediately suspended from the Delaware Speedway race program. The final decision on this incident will be made next week after further evaluation.

Jared, my apologies. It didnt read like I meant it to read. It wasn't your comments I meant, it was the response that came after you mentioned it, that came over the speakers that I thought wasn't very professional.
Odd that there's no chatter about this. I just think its great that they made at least some sort of public announcement.
Now if they could only come up for a solution to this "extreme hockey mom/dad" problem that has likely led up to this. Say what you want about age limits etc, but it boils down to this: when you're 14, your parents are still ultimately responsible for you.

i think theyre too far out of the ballpark on their view of what happened to fix, i would have expected a totally different statement from parents, which i think should lead to them being gone, if they think there was nothing wrong with what went on.
The Jacobs Family said they wanted to make waves. I think that goal was achieved. Now the undertoe has sucked them out to sea and I hope we never see them again.
Props to the track for doing what was right. Management doesn't get a lot of credit but I think this was the right move. I think Management deserves a round of applause
