Below are a couple of pictures of the one side I broke at the King of the Hill on Friday. These axles are 4 - 5 years old and have served the car very very very well time just caught up with them. The sheared portion looks like it was machined off, this is typical of how a hardended shaft breaks. In this case, it was at the inner CV side which broke, near the diff.
Here are the pics:

We'll be back for sure (with spare axles), it was a huge blast to run at Delaware. The people are very friendly and the food is good.
Here's a question, during the first race, I ran against a white 4 door sedan, that car was sporting BFG Drag Radials and the hood of the car had a huge bulge. Does anyone know what was in that car for an engine? That car actually looked serious, the idle on that thing was lumpy, which was an indication of cams, plus you can hear the exhaust pulses through the headers.
Does anyone know what was in that car?
Thanks
That was a Pontiac Gran LeMans if I not mistaken. Straight line, he woulda prolly eaten you, but you had him in the corners.

Ya, I concur. That grand lemans was super quick. I credit him for my change of tactics for the evening, I don't normally launch that hard, but when I heard his lumpy idle and looked at the drag slicks, the only choice was a redline launch using as much of the AWD as I could. The stock Subaru's do 1.8 sec for the 60 foot times when done properly, the non stock Subaru's do that a bit quicker.
So getting him on the first 60 ft was the key to the win, as it would have been really hard to drive around him on the outside. He was a really good driver too, you can tell, since he held his line pretty good anticipating the corner exits.
The other car that was fairly quick, was the other 4 door goldish Chevy (I think), he too had quite the engine in there, but his setup was nowhere near that of the Grand Lemans. Any idea what was in that car too?
