I would disagree too. I used to hate the 4 bangers. I'm seriously considering driving to Delaware tonight to check out the invitational.
pages of crap on 4 cylinders.
does this get butts in the seat? don't get distracted. 4 cylinder classes are for people to get into it cheap and eventually move up. they provide decent entertainment while the upper classes wrench and get ready for their races. The bone stocks already do that. they need more shenanigans, not less 'cause that's where the entertainment value lies.
Want cheap, competative 4cylinder racing thats easy to tech?
Neon racing
everyone drives a sohc non R/T neon with 195-70-14 motomaster se tires. has to be painted with neon paint.
the things are a dime a dozen, parts a dime for 2 dozen. all the same speed there would be tons of neon paint swapped every race and that might hold some people's interest.but don't get distracted, 4cyl is a very tiny part of getting people out.
I totally agree. My brother and I have talked about this before. At first it was " They should all be 240's" but obviously that's unrealistic because of the low supply. Can't go wrong with an all Neon class.
how about a neon ,, mustang and a chev product..??? keep it simple ..for the SS get some towel city recaps for the series,,they get faster with more laps on them..
29 Mini Stocks a Ohsweken tonight. Mustangs, Neon's, 240s, Cavalier's, a few Hondas, a Bug even a CRX. Another 21 or so at Delaware, you may be on to something. :p
not sure what the CRX has but him and the neon with the RT engine should win every nite at ohsweken if they arent breaking something in a rut or blowing a tire...
