I was just thinking of something that might be realistically done. I know there have been tracks in the states that have used this method to slow the field,add a bit of excitement for the fans and an extra challenge for the drivers.

nope, not even close.

Just something to slow the field or bunch it together like on restarts.
I've even heard the suggestion to water down both corners.

Hey lets add rocket launchers and a few random land mines.  Or hey lets let someone run into a solid piece of metal, that’s moving 60 mph difference in speed, and create a few widows.  That sounds good.  Wait, I don't think my wife will like that...

Or... how about we turn the enduros into the Street Stocks of yesterday, let them run every other friday, and have A and B mains like the old days, keeping the rules the same.
