Endurance racing used to be about stock cars, with lawn chairs strapped in for a race bucket. I am glad to see the safety has gone up, but so has the competition. Our rules now state factory parts, OEM, or DoT. It makes for some creative fabbing, and I for one do like it. It has taken some of the hillbilly out of the sport (guys using lapbelts, and chicken wire), but man the competition is great fun. I guess you can cut them up for deleting or adding to the rules, but it still comes down to how creative you need to be in the end.
