Downloadable driver pics - perfect for autographing. (New adds Aug 30)

Howdy all. Well here's a little project I've been working on. Some of you guys might have noticed me running around the pits bugging the crap out of everyone with my little cam, and this is the end result. Or it WILL be the end result.What I've been doing is snapping shots of all the Delaware drivers, and now I've uploaded a bunch of them to my new web album with a caption with the driver's name and car on it. The idea here is basically downloadable autograph cards.Of course, I encourage everyone to go get one of the Souvenir Autograph Books put out by Checker Flag Media. All the drivers are represented in that one and its a great piece of work. This is more for the fan that really likes certain guys in particular and are looking for something autographed to go up in a rumpus room, kid's bedroom, or even stuck to the fridge. So, these photos are free to all to use with no need of photo crediting. If you're a fan or if you've got a kid thats a fan, download these, print em' out, then hit the pits sometime soon and I'm certain all of these fellas, and ladies, would be happy to sign them for you. If you're a driver and didn't happen to get any hero cards done or anything like that, then feel free to rattle off a bunch of these for your next autograph session. These will go best at 2 to a page or 4 to a page. Some of the shots turned out amazing. Some of them not so much...but still not bad. It is my intent to get around to everyone and get a usable shot. Now if you're a driver and you're not here already, its not because I don't like you - its just that I either haven't gotten to you, or I did and the pic didnt turn out. If you do see me and want one done, please let me know....just grab me and drag me over to your car for the shot. (and dont go combing your hair and getting all pretty...I like candid, and would much sooner prefer a realistic shot...hat on backwards, driver suit tied around your waist, 15 year old Iron Maiden Tshirt with a hole in it...whatever. ;) )I have a mess of good ones from the truck guys yet to upload. heh...well you went way over my head as of the first sentence. ;D

I'm still just getting over the pics I'm able to take with this little cellphone! The place it really falls short is on action pics...you cant adjust shutter speed as far as I've been able to determine. And pics in the dark are nothing to write home about either.

But for stills in good light, this thing rocks.

My problem seemed to be that if I had the zoom on, you get a smaller pic. So no more zoom for driver shots.

BTW, if you're a driver running off a bunch for an autograph meet, you still might be better off arranging them like 2 or 4 to a page, save them to disc, then have Staples or Kinko's do them for you. Probably cheaper. Color cartridges are expensive.

LOL !!!!!!!!!!!! hold on a second here... you didn't anything about your "camera" being a cellphone based unit... forget everything I said ! LOL ! Phone Cam's are pretty much junk for what you want to do for autograph / Hero cards because of what you have already found out - which is when you attempt to make them bigger than 4 x 3, the photo pixels are blocky.

Save up yer pennies and buy a decent digital camera. I realize it may not be on your priority list right now, so borrow one 🙂 🙂 🙂

Check most of those Truck ones. They ARE at 8x10 already. I'll stick with what I've got for now.
