Heard there's a cascar chassis coming.
Really? That's interesting. I hadn't heard that one.
Complete with Nova body.
Say good-bye to a mainstay division at Delaware
there's going to be some bitter people in the class, can't blame them though :-
The more I look at this car though, the more I wonder just how long they're going to continue with this fallacy of calling them "Street Stocks"
I think tech has there work cut out for them.

Stock Nova ??:
1 - curved blade on front spoiler
2 - no hood bracing
3 - deflectors added rear wheel wells
4 - deflectors added at base of each window opening
5 - side skirts brought down below stock position matching front spoiler
6 - fiberglass bumper rear
7 - shelf and deflector added to passenger side window entry
8 - Ventura hood with Nova grille at base of windsheild (cowl induction )
9 - oversized door panels (All seams must stay original)
10- 1" dia. bumper reinforcingSure hope the track calls and makes sure they remove the obvious things so there's no "tradeoffs" at the track.
Then again, maybe that's where they're going. Heard there's a cascar chassis coming.
just to clear some things up, some of the things you listed are allowed, and most cars have, like "1 - curved blade on front spoiler" that was allowed last season as well and a few cars had the deal on there, just has to clear ride height. "8 - Ventura hood with Nova grille at base of windsheild (cowl induction )" Ventura's have the tin work at the bottom of the windshield as the novas, just a slightly different shape, it's not cowl induction unless an air box is sealed up to it, so i don't see anything wrong there. "9 - oversized door panels (All seams must stay original)" door panels aren't much of a concern, not to many cars have factory seamed door panels, truth is, it's way cheaper to buy a sheet of metal to build you're own doors, so a lot of guys would have to re-do door skins for something that has been done for years. "10- 1" dia. bumper reinforcing" theres nothing at all wrong with reinforcing the bumpers, everyone does it, and nobody has ever had a problem with it. I'm not going to comment on the other things, i just figured i'd point this stuff out.
How old of a CASCAR chassis are we talking about here? I'm not a technical wizard like some of you, but what advantage does it have over a traditional Street Stock chassis? If it has to run the SS engine and suspension components, depending on how old it is, what's the advantage? That being said, you shouldn't really be using a CASCAR chassis as a Street Stock when a CASCAR is still legal for the LM division, but what advantage is it going to have?

Blades were allowed, but were not allowed to protrude out past the face of the bumper

Not legal.

Yes but seams must remain in stock locations, not just disappear
"10- 1" dia. bumper reinforcing" theres nothing at all wrong with reinforcing the bumpers, everyone does it, and nobody has ever had a problem with it.
I guess I was referring to the nose reinforcings, these have been limited to 3/4" to cut down on the bulldozers
I'm not going to comment on the other things, i just figured i'd point this stuff out. When a couple of the other cars are seen, things like "original body seams" will seem pretty minor 😉
I think you right on here, that's why I said they should get rid of the big things before the cars even show up.

-I don't think it was ever discussed about whether or not they could go past the bumper line.
The difference between the ventura hood and the nova valence leaves a 1"space at the base of the windshield to allow cold air in. Not legal. if it leaves a 1" space it's mounted wrong, they have a little different shape to match the hood, but they are the same size, the hoods are different sizes yes, but thats because of the nose. There is no difference in the cowl area except for a minor shape difference, and it's stock anyways, so I don't see how that's illegal, and if the air box isn't sealed to it, no advantage at all.
Yes but seams must remain in stock locations, not just disappear then there is a whole lot of people that are going to have to do a whole lot of body work, my cars always have the seams, but a lot don't, seems like a waste of time raising a fuss over that.
I guess I was referring to the nose reinforcings, these have been limited to 3/4" to cut down on the bulldozerstthey havent said anything to me about the 1" reinforcing, and it has never been a rule, i have no clue where that 3/4" measurement came from, who cares if the cars are bulldozers? 3/4" vs. 1" wouldnt change anything in how I drive, seems like pretty minor deal to me.
