OK, I know FromTheStands posted this elsewhere, but I thought maybe this deserved its own thread. First of all, go here and get the PDF.
OK, now go to the last page...the one with the points standings.
Just for kicks, here's the game:
Either:
Trace one of the names on the points page to someone currently running, or is working with someone who's currently running.
OR
Tell us whatever became of someone on the list.
OR
Give us some incoherent rambling...preferably about someone on the list.
For example:
Wayne Pilkey Limited Stock 55. Ran Sportsman/Compact, then Super Late Model before quitting in the early 80s.
Father to Wayne Jr, who ran SS # 75 for a while and then in Modified.
Owns Pilkey Auto Sales out in Lambeth.
Or
Marsh Manning, Sportsman #24,
Uncle to Duane Manning, Street Stock #50/28 (hope I got that right.)
How about it folks? I know that Zagarodny, Hay, Neumeister, Timmermans, McGlynn...lots of them are names I've heard bandied around over the years. How do they all fit in?
Maybe we can start warming up for the season with some chatter that doesn't involve track business.
The prize is this: If we get enough responses, I'll pdf more race programs.
Thanks again to FromTheStands for sharing his.
Roger McGlynn in the #8
Would that be Chad McGlynn dad or uncle????
I wonder if the 8 car was setup like the 18.
You could always count on the 18 car coming off turn 4 sideways. Just a little loose!
I know Zagarodney and his son Tom currently runs a truck at Delaware. That Vic Brooks guy is still around and is currently trying to put together a 440 to run at grand bend as am I, oh ya he's my brother and man is he old LOL !!! So let's see some more of the old programs ( maybe one will have my name in it) I started at Delaware in 81 and ran there for about 23 yrs , guess that makes me old too LOL !!!
Roger=Chad and Shawn's father

Ah I fear the only programs I have...and they are only a few, are from the same rough era as this last one.
Actually, it'd be kind of cool to start a database of these.
