Shadow racer that is a great idea!!!! GWB 5757 and I were just kids at Delaware and Niles Town in that era (1972). It would be cool to see some of the earlier stuff back when our Dad's first started. My old man raced at those tracks from 1959 to 1974. I don't know if anybody remembers him Mike March aka The Bounty Hunter.
Thanks, Mike March Jr.

Heh...the Bounty Hunter. It rings a bell, but admittedly, I was a strapping young lad of 3 at the time! Memory only serves so well. 😉
(An aside: Ever notice that, these days, whenever someone has a nickname like that, it sounds made up and phony...But back then it seemed perfectly natural?)
Anyway, its cool to know another track brat from the era. My Dad and Uncles ran Del and Nilestown at the same time...mostly Nilestown. Uncle Ray Eaton was #46, Uncle Stan Linkavich was #47 (he was a long time runner), and Dad, Rick Van Leeuwen was #48 and later #6. (The Banana) In or around 1975, Dad got out and the #6 was sold to Ike Henry. Ike campaigned the car for a few years as #60 with a Vega body on it.
They just don't build em like this anymore:
Hey guys, If you have old photos, why not put em up? (and if you don't know how, send them to me and I'll photoshop your name onto them and post em')
Here's a blast from Nilestown:
By the way GWB 5757, say cheese. 😉

Nice pics!

Nilestown in the mid 60s I think ,
