Why would it matter if there is a old late model chassis out there?
Truth is it is probably at a disadvantage now with all the newer cars basically being late models anyways.
I am curious what advantage the old cascar would have over the newer Street Stocks?
I guess we'll have to wait and see. Maybe the price of an old Cascar Latemodel will go up.
I wonder if the big advantage might be geometry.
Lower center of gravity
Easily adjustable roll center
Adjustable anti-dive
Fully (and easily) adjustable mounting for upper and lowers
I think the rear spring mounts on the metrics were not to be adjustable. I believe the late model's have adjusters.
The frames will be definitely a lot more rigid.
I've probably missed some obvious differences but that's the extent of my knowledge (could be wrong too)
I'd bet the track will keep track of the differences and adj. the rules to accommodate. Hopefully anyone bringing in one of these chassis is a good driver with a knowlegable team where we will truly be able to see the difference.
Ok but that being said the car still has to have a stock front clip and leaf springs.
So i still don't see the advantage.

You've got one on me. All I ever heard was a late model chassis. I did hear anything about what it's limitations were.
Do latemodels run a stock Nova clip??
The older one's ran a camaro clip and some ran a nova.
But it would never get through tech with a tube clip in it so i would assume it would have a stock clip.
It'll be interesting to see.
Seems funny to even be talking about it.
Weathers good, has anybody heard that familiar noise from the track?? ;D
