Yup, I love Ohsweken, and try to never miss the World of Outlaws Late Models. It's easily my favourite track to spectate at in the province.
But yapping about it on the Delaware forum is stupid, and unwelcome. Ohsweken has its own forum for a reason.
I won't comment on the racing at any of the dirt tracks around cause its not often and close to never that I ever get to one. That's not by design but more of a lack of time.
What I can comment after being at and competing at most tracks in southern Ontario and a couple up north is QUALITY of the drivers is what makes the show, NOT car counts. Fourteen cars of good quality with good drivers can put on a show better than 24 cars with 10 being junk or being piloted by sketchy drivers.
It sucks that people equate big fields with good shows cause it just isn't the reality
Quite true. Last year DS had more late models for example the same 3/4 drivers were constant spinouts that either caused wreckage or pissed of some who made a difficult pass that took maybe 4 laps to get only to be called back. There are also guys that do not get out of the way with somebody they know fast on the bumper. They get a Pinkie flag in ACT for that.
then i will take my tonka truck and go play in the dirt shiffty cause it is more fun playing in the dirt then on asphalt lot more fun
That's a matter of opinion, some guys like dirt, some guys like asphalt, I enjoy watching both, but only enjoy running one. There's enough people to support each if things are done properly.
Yes.
It sucks that people equate big fields with good shows cause it just isn't the reality.
While that is a valid argument, having a larger field does make heat races and b-mains (if needed) more entertaining...and just because there is a larger field somewhere, it doesn't mean half the field sucks. It is possible to have quantity AND quality.
That said, comparing Delaware and Ohsweken is comparing apples to oranges. Not necessary in this thread.
