This weeks Sprintcar heat race action between Mitchel Brown and Dave Dykstra or the Thunderstocks battling 5 wide in the turn on a restart without a wreck. Great stuff!! I like to watch both Dirt and Pavement racing. But if I have to choose Dirt will win every time.
As for Ohsweken's car count, 29 Sprint cars, 24 Thunder stocks, 29 Mini Stocks and 18 Bombers this week. Next weeks Northern Summer Nationals will draw 40 or more Sprint cars plus the Thunders, Minis, and Bombers. For $20 you can't beat it. IMHO
For those who are happy to post the car numbers at Oshweken can you explain to me why you think that a race is guaranteed to be better just because of higher car count. If your interested in hype then I guess to you bigger is always better. Personally I look for the quality of the competition and base a race on the actual race and not the numbers. I guess that's where I differ from those who like to be a part of big show where I appreciate the racing that happens on the track.
The drivers and the teams put on a great race at Delaware and it's ignorant to come on here in this thread to insult them just because another track has a higher car count. The car count at another track does not diminish the efforts and skills of the divers and the race they put on for the fans at Delaware.

that has nothing to do with what I said... ::)
In all honesty, if you like another track that much, go to it and their forums. I can easily admit, I love most tracks in the 2 hour radius of my home. I can give you one good example of a track in trouble. A drag strip about 45 minutes from here will never get my money again, for special events or regular sunday points runs. The cost to run, and the show was terrible. I could tell you why, but it would add flames to this one. Bottom line, the track was not pro-active, and they are almost gone.
Lower prices, and up the payouts, and put in a playground. Very few six year olds like racing for three hours, like adults would. Make the grounds more kid friendly, and adjust costs so it is around/on-par with a movie night out. As a parent, I would love to be in turn1 with my kids playing 50 yards away on a jungle gym, knowing they are having fun. Instead of the constant groan of being bored. They will tire of it, but it would help. Food costs are nuts, and portions are a good size, but again cost factor.
Pit fees to get in are too high, even with the Nascar membership. We are the show, and we shouldn't get in free, but par with the fans (that's fair). Make us feel like we are wanted there, by doing these things.
I love this track, and respect the management team on it. I know originally this thread was about a results thread, but we stirred a beesnest. I may be wrong with my opinions, but at least I voiced them. Many people are doing the same, but it is coming out harsh. I hope you all voice your opinion, but remember english classes, and don't be spiteful. It looks rude.
