Well, we have had this discussion elsewhere many times on these forums. Money is getting harder to keep in you pockets anymore. It is not the economy, it is all the crap we pay for anymore. Taxes are too high, service charges for the right of peeing indoors, so on... I have a very polished soap box from screaming atop fo it for a few years now. Car counts are going to have a hard time for a while, and there's nothing we can do about that. I can agree, Oshweken has more 360 cars, and definitely more Bombers, so on. Also Oshweken has an ecellent format, and I can say I love it very much. I also love our home track, and see counts are down.

Oshwekens rules are open a little more than Delaware's. Hate to bash my hometrack, but some of the rule changes DID put a serious cost to some divisions. Some of those rules were needed, but I feel they could have softened it over time (somehow I don't know). It cost some truck guys gears, transmissions, so on just for the rev rule just to name one. Did this hurt count? Not much, but when everyone's finding it harder to run year-in/out.... was it really neded?

There is a possibility trucks were getting a little too quick in relation to the big show (SS), so they got the nerfbat. You can argue cost factor, but again I am not taking punches. I see what they were doing in either direction... but still.

As for late models, I haven't talked to enough guys on it. I only know a handful of em, and will form an opinion when I get to know more.

Bottom line, our sport needs a revamp, strictly on costs. I'm broke because my X like keeps a saddle on my starfish. But I know a lot of guys have gone broke trying to keep it going. Racing has always cost a good chunk, it's just the expendable cash for people is smaller. This is just my take on it, but I felt I needed to voice it.

If you all love dirt racing so much get your toy cars hit the sand box and go somewhere else to talk about it.

That's a matter of opinion, some guys like dirt, some guys like asphalt, I enjoy watching both, but only enjoy running one. There's enough people to support each if things are done properly.
