So now the SS drivers have to purchase bodies from another competitor in the series. Wasn't there a huge up roar when Jeff became Head of command of the track about Tony and not having to buy bodies off of him, because he has been profiting from it. Jeff bad mouthed Tony soooo bad in those meetings called him everything in the book. So now the SS class is funding another competitors racing season. Things don't make sense. I now think Tony is the only apporate company to buy bodies from, don't forget Tony is in the Hall of Fame for a reason, he is a very smart man/businessman.
Er, I don't think we HAVE to purchase bodies from Sid... I think the offer is just on the table.
And while it does look pretty, I think I'd wait until he makes a 2009 Monte Carlo SS. ;D
No you don't have to buy them. But if I was going to move into SS, I probably would.
I think its interesting that the body styles are still whats being argued. I still think something smells bad in SS...feels sort of like the brand new "beauty" body is somewhat of a misdirection, much like a magician will snap his fingers to draw the eye to that hand while he's doing the real move with the other one. Its been working too, because if they wanted the boards quiet about it, they've succeeded.
Anyway, lots of rumors surrounding SS for next year. The meeting oughta be interesting.

The BS need to stop and that means all the players know EXACTLY what they are in for. No more mid season rule changes and forcing everybodie's hand. If the cost are going up then everybody needs to be able to make an informed decision. I'm not sure why everbody has their knickers in not over the body issue and nobody blinked over the shocks.

Just getting settled back into base here in Edmonton, and hoping for an Ontaior posting by next summer so I can get back to the track for some much need fun..
I have tried to keep upto date but did not see any rue changes mid season, or anything about shocks.. I am assuming it is still magnetic steel, $100, and stock ends...now with that in mind I am sure you can but a shock that was once 150 for 100...
I do agree with you that once the rules are posted, sooner rather than later they should remain for the year... with the posibility of the new bodies from with Tony or sid ( whoever he is) I am sure they will play with weights to make it fair for all... for anyone like you who has hung a body only to have it torn up that week woudl appreciated the fibreglass bodies as they flex, are quicker to replace, and look better... how mny of the guys with the nose peices had then destroyed this season, that should tell you if this is going to hold up?
Here is looking or hoping at a return to delaware for a great 2011.
Any word on the big shows?? did the nascar gig gover well?? any ohter series on the radar???
