that tire at the end of the pit wall (and the pit wall for that matter) in corner four gives me the willies. Alway afraid someone is going to snag it and cause a mess. Russ Wood must have been running inches off it last Friday night. Probably the pit wall could be cut shorter there and perhaps the pits could be extended into 1&2 in sort of a J shape. It's a narrow track for wide cars with open wheels like a super

I had the idea that bringing the wall around to somewhere near the apex and starting pit road just after the backstrech entrance would solve some "pit road tire" issues.  If they make a flat pit road entrance and keep it tight to the wire fence, the extended pit wall would end up away from the racing surface far enough that it should be of little concern.

I agree with you guys about the pit wall...that has always been a concern of mine...I hope some common sense is used when they pour all this money into the place and they don't just keep everything the way it is...

could be worse... It could be like St. Eustache's Turn 4 pit entrance which, instead of tires, has a gently slopped pit wall--if a car ever hit it, they'd do a corkscrew through the air.  😮

but at least they painted it yellow, right?  :-

I've seen that happen before!  It usually causes a TON of damage to the car that hits the wall, but to others around it too....always scary to see somebody take a ride off that wall!!!
