All fines go toward the end of year points fund so we all share. Pre-race tech is more safety stuff and basics. If they were to try to do full tech before practise there would be a handfull of cars make it thru in time. As race teams, we are supposed to know the rules and after race tech is to make sure we are abiding by them. I am sure tech is why cars are parked. It wouldn't have anything to do with economic times we are in. Give me a break!!!!!
BULLSEYE :-*
Forgive me, as I'm on my cellphhone, I don't EVER come on here to get involved with this stuff, but I had to for every who "seems to have it all figured out" so, ill tell all of you the truth. "Exhust" yes was to loud, so ill change the mufflers ( not gonna make the car any faster or slower) 2. "Front susp" was this, shock towers were changed bbecuase I wanted more shock travel, not a problem. ( Not gonna make the car any slower or faster). Sway bar, must be mounted on top of thhe lowers. (Mine is mounted "in stock location, but is under the lowers. "Again, won't make the car any faster or slower.. "Rear trailing arms" - one was longer then the other, due to an adjustment we made at the track. " No problem, will fix alll this ( and believe it or not, won't make the car any faster or slower) I spent A LOT of time on that car thhrouugh out the winter after the poor performance we had with it last year, so I'm glad you all think I earned it by chheating. And Ernie,if you can "spot" all the "cheating" things ouit on my car, then I guess ill see you at delaware through the tech line since you got this whole thing figured out!!?????.. I love delaware speedway, I love the division. That's why ii have the 44 there running everyweek. And will contiune to build the program. Congrats to kris for his win lastnight. Awsome job dude. And to all the other drivers, look forward to racing you soon.
Well put JR!!!!!!
JR perhaps my post didn't come through as intended. If you read my previous posts I was in no way dissing you or your car. What I was trying to convey, apparently badly, was that suspension deals are usually obvious IMO and opening night and all they aren't going to send guys home. I had posted earlier in this thread that your driving had as much or more to do with the time you were making on the track as the car did. I guess what I was trying to say, again badly apparently, was that the violations cited probably should have been picked up earlier by tech. I am by no means an expert just an interested observer. If I ever got into a car I would probably end up being part of the turn one wall LOL. Nowhere was I trying to imply that you were cheating nor did I type those words. Far from it. In fact I thought there was no way that car was the same one you had last year and when I found out it was I thought wow what a difference. I enjoy watching you race at Delaware and wish you and all other racers nothing but good luck. If you guys didn't spend your time and money to come out on Fridays then us fans would not have the opportunity to enjoy this sport and visa-versa.
So in closing if you thought I was dissing, I wasn't. Good luck at Dover!
