Nope I have nothing agianst enduros. Most of you guys know I'd never belittle any racer's efforts, and if it sounded that way I apologize.
On the other hand though, I've seen what Endurance racing was, and I've seen what it became. I much prefer what it was...and that's no fault of any of the competitors.
Endurance racing was supposed to be a bit of a freak show. (like the Chaos Cars) $25 buck bonus if you rolled it on the frontstretch, and you saw guys that had weird stuff like duck decoys bolted to the roof to make them stand out. Studebakers, station wagons, and Monte Carlos all on the track at the same time and if you spun out you were stuck there till the race was over. That to me was Endurance racing.
I'm not sure when exactly the point came when Enduro became a "division" rather than a race format, but it was about that point when I thought it had gotten dull and lost interest.
And as well, you have to understand that there are fans who are more into the higher powered divisions. I guess you can count me as one of those. If I have the free Sat night to go racin (yeah right ::)) I'm heading to Flammy or Buxton. Heck, I know people who'll go to Delaware a Friday night ONLY if the Late Models are there. Everyone has their preferences.
Please, please understand my lack of interest is not me dissing anyone or the format they choose to race in. Its just not my cup of tea.
Besides, one time about two years ago, I thought to myself "Well, I've never done a Shadow Report for the Enduro crowd", so I came, notebook in hand. But the race was so chaotic and hard to follow that I couldn't keep track of it all. Its just not a format that lends itself to a blow-by-blow acoounting of it. So its not that I don't want to write about you guys...I just don't know how to.

8) 8) 8)
(Actually, isn't Darrell Lake the "Hollywood" guy?)
Well the one 4cl held itself pretty well in the rain there i guess FWD is a big advantage what did oyu guys think?
It was alittle weird to drive but all and all alot of fun.
The rain helped us alot with keeping with the big cars but I really think all and all we held our own.
Unfortunatly the 69 car does not know when to lift off the throttle and slammed into the side of me and shoved me in the fence.
So on lap 72 we were done but running solidly in the top 10 at the time and felt that we made a good showing and had a absolute blast doing it.
This is hopefully going to be a wave of the future and maybe get the enduro car count back up closer to the 100 cars.
hey lmfan sorry for running into you in turn one i locked up the brakes and went straight did not intentionally mean to take you out like that locked up brakes and car plowing in the rain = a mess so i drive the #13 and am appoligizing for the incident where i got into you
