Shoebox, thas right.. my bad. At least I'm not totally memory defficient XD
Well the one 4cl held itself pretty well in the rain there i guess FWD is a big advantage what did oyu guys think?
Um...yeah. Snot rod in the middle of a field of big enduro cars. After this we'll be able to call ya "Pinball" Hope you didn't skimp on the roll cage welding. 😀
OK...so I'm actually considering going to an enduro. Will wonders never cease?
hey Dougy: Don't you mean the Shoebox?
Shadow did you make it to the show, if so can we expect another great report?
What was the weather like, and did the crowds suffer because of it?
Mosport runs a 6 cyl or less division. If you run a 4 cyl you get a weight break versus the 6 cyl. It's a bigger 1/2 mile than Delaware.
Mosport has run the 6 or less for 3 years. My neighbor Jeff Scott has won the Championship with a 4 cyl. and they get a good car count. NASCAR ran the 4 cyl. at Daytona for years and they put on a good show.
The Orange #2 "youngblood" piloted by Steve McCaw was very stout leading 4 laps of the heat race. eventually Coward ran him down, but once it started to rain, Youngblood cought and passed Coward. #2 finnished 4th in the heat.
in the feature, #82x "Demar" also did very well showing what consistancy can do for you. At one point Justin Demello had the car COMPLETLEY sideways. He just mashed the throttle and drove out of it, it was an awesome sight! Demar ran a solid 27th and finnished the entire race with only a dent on the right front. Youngblood got taken out by lap traffic, eventually having to stop because of a blown rad and engine problems.
The Snotrod crew was very impressed and I believe Team Ultimate may have opened the floodgates and become Pioneers in the endurance sereis. We would of raced but I broke a LR strut in our "CrossFire" race. Still managed to win 😀
After seeing how well both 4 cyl cars held up against the big V8 beasts, I believe things will begin to change, starting with us building a 4cyl enduro car in the off season! ;D
