i believe there are a few people working very had on getting some stuff going in a better direction here for this division. Some of the closest cleanest racing i have seen at delaware has come from this division and i would hate to see it go up in smoke. Regardless of who wants it or what the rules should be, There are quite a few guys around with money sitting in these cars, to simply throw the class out the window would be terrible, and for another point, there are a lot of top of the ack cars for sale for very cheap out there right now for anyone who would be interested in joining this class and helping it grow into the future. Good luck to everyone this season, i look forward to seeing everyone out at the track.

Here's a little bit about what I think ... If you want the mod class to survive let them go to the same engine as the truck and super stock class (no big cash lay out for the engine )  just chassis !!!  Next .... make them run same tires (get rid of the slicks)Kill the top five fast guy's and make them drive !!! They'll have all kinds of power but will burn up the tires and that will make things interesting JMHO !!!

           Later ... Brooksie  :-*

I believe the MODS have the option of using the truck/SS class power plant now, & I'm not sold on the tire deal Brooksie, the fast cars WILL always be at the front.  I believe the 24 won a feature and a couple of heats this year with a home made car and a 602 power plant.

Im not trying to be rude but the rules were not made by 1 guy. If you want your say in them get off the forums and go to the meetings, Simply put the front 5 cars are fast yes, but are simply going to the maximum allowance of the rules. If the rules allowed you to have 3 brownies for dessert-- would anyone seriously only take 1 or 2?? Rules are set for this year now, so abide by them. Having the engines be changed to the superstock/truck ones only would make this class extinct, if we already have the equiptment why take it away? The fast cars are fast for reasons other then they follow the rules!!! The best equiptment alone cant win races, takes team work, driving ability, setup and luck.

mmmmm  brownies  ;D      no offence taken sprintcarfan, and completely agree with your teamwork/ability view.  I do attend the meetings and give my 2 cents, & I believe the rules in all divisions are democratically decided upon. I wasn't insinuating an engine rule change, however I have gone back and read the engine package rules & the truck/SS engine package has been allowed for a couple years now.
