I think the free passes are a great idea.
However if you look at the big picture driver and 3 crew guys every week
20.00 per head x 4 =80.00 per team x 5 = 400.00 x 3 divisions = 1200.00 per week x 13 race weekends = 15600.00 plus registration now where do you think that money is coming from?
Now don't get me wrong i really think this is a great way to show support for the race teams that show up every week and put on a great show.
We will just have to see what becomes of it.

Are the passes only good on the night your division is running? If not, the numbers change (there were a total of 28 race events on the schedule in '07)
At the banquet on Saturday was there any mention in the speech from management if the track and pit area were going to be redone before the start of next year races

I wasn't there, but no. There'd be a thread 10 pages long by now if they had.
You know - we really got to get past that. No one ever said repaving etc was iminent. It won't be happening anytime soon.
(Unless of course there's some kind of bolt-from-the-heavens surprise development.)
Shadowracer I was hoping you would of said or anybody that was at the banquet had heard management mention anything about the track repairs.As you know approx 2 years ago there was mentioning of the track being fixed and I hate to say the only thing done was fix the enterence from the stands to the pits and some grinding and filling in certain parts of the track.Now I donot have anything against the drivers and pit crews I think top 5 teams from each division(1 Driver,3 Pit crew) getting there fair due for a great year but as an earlier post said that is alot of money(1 post said $6000.00 for the year,another said $15,600.00 which ever is right that is alot of money ) Those
totals what ever could have gone into the track as you know the track needs these repairs real bad.For this track to get the big series NCTS they will have to fix this place or I hate to say they will not get them.Remember the longer they wait to fix this track properly the more money it is going to cost them and it will be costly.Hopefuly this track will fix this problem or as the one post said on GRR site that tear it up and make it dirt and you know alot of people around here want this track finished properly so they can get the big series shows .
