We are done indeed. The truck is pretty bent and twisted up. As far as the engine goes, we know that it's separated from the transmission but still not sure of the full extent of the damage there. Cab floor, dash and roof buckled, engine shifted and tilted, headers crushed, distributor jammed against firewall, steering column bent, etc., etc.
Jim, thank you, your offer is very much appreciated but I think that truck is toast. A few parts look salvageable, and the driveshaft, box, and rear end are probably OK but the frame itself is done. Not sure what the next step is, but it looks like this season is over for us.
Ah but there was some good times too. Just seemed right to put this up again. That's Kathleen taking her first heat win back in July.
What else can you say really?
Kathleen, you and our Dad are good folks. Sorry the year had to end like that. There's lots of folks on the hill rooting for you...and that would include the denizens of Richmond Row.
APC Late Model Feature 2
I was not in attendance but congrats to Verhoeven on his first checkers this year. By my own rough calculation, I think the combination of 3rd and 2nd for Robblee vs 2nd and 5th for Sheridan puts Robblee out in front for the championship with only 2 features to go.
hey shadow
don't forget points for time trial
Sheridan should still be leading
The Truck wreck was undoubtedly the largest crash I have ever witnessed from any friday night series. Many many trucks were severely damaged, including our 33 truck. We only had about a laps worth of warning when it started to sprinkle in the pit. But when the clouds opened, the pack was already comming off turn 2 and they never stood a chance. I'm glad everyone was okay, but many teams' seasons have been cut short because of this blunder.
I guess I have plans now for the rest of the week lol. I hope to see everyone again next week.
PS - Don't expect to see the #10 Late Model again 🙁

I heard that and also maybe no more 29 over it too.
