Yeah...well, GM Performance Parts, Ford Racing and MOPAR dealer parts never are...
GM was rumored to have a new for this year, a top end kit that was to bring down the cost, but never made it into the 2011 Performance Catalogue. ;(
If you surf the Internet, there's "kit" guys out there that swear (*koff*) that Comp Cam's has a kit that "Meets" the specs for half the price; hence "cheater" parts are everywhere...
It's one of the reasons a lot of U.S. track rules now require a rev limiter on crate motors.

Follow up : Received a call from From Mr. Sheridan and replacing the worn timing chain for a new one will be allowed. I'm sure that is a relief to many as it is to me.
